To Your Sleep Wellness Community
Since starting this blog in 2019, we have committed ourselves to sharing with you our insights on sleep and have been encouraging you to embrace sleep wellness! Stay connected for updates on webinars, training, and coaching that we'll be bringing to you.
Who are we? We are sleep experts who were able to overcome our own sleep troubles because we actually had the required research background to do something about it. Now, our mission is to help you, especially those of you who are night owls like us, to sleep well; live well; and work well.
Collectively, our work has been featured in The Guardian, The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, International Business Times, Popular Science, Forbes, CBC, CTV, Global News, among others. We have worked with organisations like Simon Fraser University; McMaster University; Canadian Red Cross; and MSC, and our research has appeared in various research conferences and journals.
When we think of health and wellness, we often focus on what we eat and on our physical fitness. We take time to recharge our mind and spirit. Yet, many people, including some of the most health-conscious, often take for granted an essential pillar of health and wellness -- sleep.
Research shows that the average person does not get enough sleep. In fact, it would not be a stretch to say that we now live in a sleep-deprived society.
The impact of sleep deprivation on our health and well-being is significant.
Sleep is essential.
Poor sleep is linked to impaired physical and cognitive performance, moodiness, and poor health.
Better sleep begins with educating yourself so that you can make wiser sleep wellness decisions. A healthy lifestyle must include sleep optimization. In this blog, we'll share with you what we have learned about sleep, through involvement in sleep research and wellness programs, and especially from our own experiences so that you can sleep well.
We invite you to join us in our sleep community and wish you a good night's rest.
